I was born
in Wiesbaden West Germany, and moved to California as a
child, where I began a lifelong passion for all animals and wildlife. Always
having a household full of pets, I was never short of subjects to
draw and paint.
I earned a nursing degree as a young adult and worked for many years
while raising my family. However, I never lost my true passion for wildlife
and nature which influences my artwork today.
Being a self-taught wildlife artist, I now live with my husband in beautiful
Laguna Canyon. I believes my best training has come from
being outdoors and studying the work of my favorite wildlife artists,
such as Carl Brenders and Dino Paravano.
In
2015, I participated in several art exhibitions at the San
Clemente Art Gallery where I won several top honors and Best in
Show awards. I was commissioned by the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in
Laguna Beach, where I donates my time and am an active member.
Conservation concerns have become increasingly important me, for which I use my artwork to endorse and contribute to several international programs such as the World Wildlife Fund, White Lion Sanctuary and ASPCA.
